Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website or services. By booking a free website slot or subscribing to our Managed Hosting package, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About Us

UKBusinessSites.co.uk is operated as a web design and hosting service for UK-registered businesses. We provide a free 3-page website design service and an optional Managed Hosting subscription. References to ‘we’, ‘us’, and ‘our’ refer to UKBusinessSites.co.uk.

2. The Free Website Service

2.1 What Is Included

• A professionally designed 3-page website (Home, About, Contact)
• Website built using your provided business name, images, logo, and copy
• Source files delivered to your nominated Google Drive folder
• A temporary live preview link so you can view the completed website

2.2 Eligibility

To qualify for the free website service, you must:

• Be a UK-registered business with a valid Companies House registration number, OR
• Have a verified and active Google Business Profile
• Be actively trading at the time of booking
• Be based or operating within the United Kingdom

We reserve the right to decline requests that do not meet these criteria.

2.3 Capacity

We build a maximum of 20 free websites per month. Slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis via our online booking system. Booking a slot does not guarantee immediate delivery — we will confirm your scheduled build date by email.

2.4 What You Must Provide

To build your website, you must supply:

• Your business name and a brief description of what you do
• Your logo (if available) in PNG or JPG format
• At least two photographs of your business, products, or services
• A working contact email address and phone number

Failure to provide the above within 5 business days of your booking may result in your slot being forfeited.

2.5 Ownership of Files

Once your free 3-page website files are delivered to your Google Drive, you own them outright. There are no conditions attached. You may host them with any provider of your choice, purchase your own domain, or hand them to another developer. We make no claim over the delivered files.

2.6 No Technical Support

The free website service does not include technical support, domain registration, hosting setup, DNS configuration, or ongoing maintenance. These services are available separately under the Managed Hosting package (see Section 3).

3. Managed Hosting Package (£49/month)

3.1 What Is Included

The Managed Hosting package is entirely optional. It includes:

• Domain name registration and renewal on your behalf
• Fast UK-based website hosting
• Deployment and configuration of your website
• One content update per month (text, images, or contact details)
• Security monitoring and regular backups
• Upgrade from 3-page to a 5+ page website (additional pages built during active subscription)

3.2 Pricing and Payment

The Managed Hosting package is priced at £49 per month. Payment is collected monthly in advance. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with a minimum of 30 days’ written notice.

3.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your Managed Hosting subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month — no further charges will be taken after that point.

3.4 What You Receive on Cancellation

Upon cancellation of the Managed Hosting package:

• You will receive the original 3-page website source files that were delivered as part of the free website service
• The 5-page or extended website (built during your subscription) will not be transferred and remains the property of UKBusinessSites.co.uk
• Your domain will not automatically transfer — domain transfer requests must be made separately and may incur a transfer fee
• Your hosted website will be taken offline within 7 days of cancellation

3.5 No Refunds

Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing cycle has commenced. If you cancel mid-month, your service will continue until the end of that billing period.

4. Intellectual Property

All website designs, code, and creative work produced by UKBusinessSites.co.uk remain our intellectual property until the point of delivery. Once the free 3-page files are delivered to your Google Drive, those files become your property. Content and images you supply to us (logos, photographs, copy) remain your property at all times.

5. Limitation of Liability

UKBusinessSites.co.uk will not be liable for:

• Any loss of business, revenue, or profit arising from use of our services
• Any errors in website content resulting from inaccurate information provided by the client
• Any downtime or interruption to hosted websites caused by third-party hosting or infrastructure providers
• Any issues arising from a client self-hosting their delivered website files

Our total liability in any circumstance shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 3 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our services to create a website for any business that is unlawful, fraudulent, or misrepresents itself to consumers. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking where we have reasonable grounds to believe the business does not exist or is operating unlawfully.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
